Rollick, Rollick, it rhymes with frolic. Indeed their wine is a frolic, especially this riesling. It’s a frolic into what Eden Valley riesling can be.
It presents this enticing straw hue with flecks of green that gets my mouth salivating for that green apple acid within. On the nose, you get loads of zesty lemon and lime citrus, with this ever so slight hint of blossom and, surprisingly, pineapple lollies. The citrus follows through on the palate but there is a slight confected note to it, accompanied by a kind of herbal lemon balm and lime leaf note. Great acid upfront, that’s well balanced by a hint of residual sugar and makes this a wonderfully refreshing riesling. With a low ABV of 11%, this riesling could easily be a pre-dinner crusher to whet your appetite with.
A beautifully pure expression of Eden Valley riesling where the winemaker has really let the vineyard shine through.
