Beer and BBQ Festival throws down a massive brewer lineup alongside local spirits and natural wine producers.

Beer & BBQ is returning in all its glory from July 23 – 25 at the Adelaide Showground and will feature a beverage line-up of on-point craft heavy hitters alongside some never before seen emerging brewers, distillers and a brand-new wine programme.

Today’s announcement adds to the huge music line-up led by the Smith Street Band, Bodyjar and 28 days, and the already stacked BBQ line-up that will grow in the coming weeks.

Interstate brewers are welcomed back with open arms after being grounded for the most part of the past year and Beer and BBQ Festival will host some of the biggest and best in the country. Breweries include Queensland-based heavy hitters Range and Green Beacon, NSW northern beaches own Modus Operandi, Victorian party starters Moondog and craft award magnets Deeds and Dainton, festival first-timers Otherside out of Perth, Mountain Culture from the picturesque Blue Mountains and family-owned Victorian brewery Killer Sprocket.

The Gilbert Street Hotel will be presenting an all dark affair on the container bar with rare-as-hens-teeth dark stuff from Bruery (US), Left Handed Giant (UK) Nerd (Sweden) and To Øl (Denmark) to name but a few.

The local lineup of brewers is huge and includes your favourite neighbourhood slingers Big Shed, Little Bang, Mismatch & Pirate Life, alongside new kids on the craft beer block like SixTwelve Brewing as well as the yet to even open Bowden Brewing Co.

Blackwood Brewhouse is also on the local list and they are one of the more unique brewers to be at the festival. A small brewer whose brewhouse is the owner’s home in Blackwood. They create seasonal small-batch brews and open their Beer Garden (home Balcony) for special tastings.

There’s even something on offer for designated drivers and teetotallers with non-alcoholic craft brewers Sobah Beverages making the trip down from Queensland for their first-ever Beer and BBQ festival. Sobah has made a name for themselves for their use of native ingredients in their brews and the fact that they are one of Australia’s only craft non-alcoholic brewer.

Heaps of “not-beer” brands will also be showing their wares including the yet-to-be-released Heaps Good Gin, Adelaide Hills Distillery, Brookvale Union, Tin Shed Wines and Wine Country’s beautiful den of iniquity the Vino Casino.

Co-director of the Beer and BBQ festival Aaron Sandow said he is over the moon with the calibre of the brewers on offer.

“We are so pleased with not just the numbers of brewers but the quality on offer this is really the cream of the crop of craft brewers from Around Australia”.

It’s certainly the most diverse line-up we have welcomed to BBF and we have added some huge activations; Modus Operandi are sending their 1970 Greyhound bus over “The Modus Hound”, Big Shed are basically building a working brewery complete with restaurant and DJ for their House of Fun, Feral are throwing a hip hop party in their Biggie Bar and Pirate Life are bringing beer garden vibes with a skate ramp, giant blow up screen for the footy, markets and stacks more.
