Located roughly 100 minutes from Adelaide, the Clare Valley is full of amazing producers and historial locations. Once there, a car is the most convenient form of transport but as always just make sure you have a designated driver if partaking in a few tastings.

Often disregarded in the wine region debate, the Clare Valley is a definite surprise packet, great value for money, fantastic food and premium family owned wines. The valley is quite geographically small so the wineries are tightly packed together which makes travel between them a breeze. The distance from the city also means it feels a little more relaxed than McLaren Vale or the Barossa. Despite this, it is closer than you might think and definitely worth the drive for that winter getaway.
There is no shortage of companies vying to take you around this region. See the link below for further information.
